Jack; The Home Depot is open!
me: No, it says “Coming Soon”…it’s almost open.
Jack: I can’t wait to go there. Does this mean Walmart won’t come here?
me: Huh? What do you mean?
Jack: If a big Home Depot is here, will it scare Walmart away?
me: I don’t think we’re getting a Walmart ever…
Jack: Good because I HATE them and hope they close. They’re bad, right?
me: Some of the things they do aren’t great.
Jack: What’s bigger, Walmart or Target?
me: They’re both pretty big. Why?
Jack: If we could build the biggest Target in front of all of the Walmarts then maybe they’d go outta business for good.
me: That’s a thought.
Jack: Why do Walmarts make all the small stores close?
me: They take business away from the small places and then the small places have to shut down.
Jack: But how do we stop it!???
me: If you hate it so much, then don’t ever shop at Walmart. That’s about all you can do.
Jack: Yeah, they take money away from schools!
me: I think it’s more that they don’t give as much to schools as other stores do. They don’t actually steal from the schools.
Jack: But they do bad things to the people that work there. I hope they all close, and then all the little stores can come back. I like those better. You don’t have to walk around as much to get stuff.

Hahahah, I love this story! I did see that Home Depot is coming soon too which is actually pretty exciting. We took a drive up that way to “explore” haha.
